Salmon Favorolle (Threatened)

The Salmon Favorolles were originally developed in France, and named after a village there, hence the name is correctly spelled as "faverolles", not favorelles. They are a fairly large, heavy breed of chicken, extremely docile, friendly and curious. They make great pets for kids because of their natures. They have beards and muffs, as well as feathered feet with 5 toes on each foot, making them very hardy in our colder climate. They do well in other non-aggressive groups of chickens, as their extreme docility makes them easy targets for more aggressive breeds. They are great layers of light brown to almost pinkish eggs.
